How we make money
At present the site makes no money at all. It carries no advertising, no affiliate links, no sponsored content and no paid listings, and no bookmaker has paid or been asked to pay for anything on it.
The current position
- Income from operators: none.
- Advertising on the pages: none.
- Affiliate or tracking links: none. Operator domains are printed as plain text and are not clickable.
- Charges to readers: none. There is nothing to buy and no account to open.
The costs of running the site are met by its publisher, whose legal entity has not been published yet (see contact).
Why there is no gambling advertising
Kenyan law treats the promotion of gambling as a regulated act. Section 87(1) of the Gambling Control Act, 2025 says a person shall not promote the advertisement of a gambling activity without the approval of the Authority. The Advertising Regulations, 2026 define an advertisement as any form of communication that promotes or is intended to promote participation in a gambling activity (regulation 2), and make it an offence to publish an unapproved gambling advertisement (regulation 14).
This site has no such approval and has not applied for one. So it does not promote operators: no "play here" buttons, no bonus offers, no rankings. The bookmaker entries on the licence list page are copied from the public register in alphabetical order.
What that means for the content
Because nobody pays, nobody has a say. No operator can buy a mention, change a sentence or have a critical point removed. The topics are chosen by what a fan might need explained, and the rules for sourcing are in the editorial policy.
If this changes
Should the site ever carry paid material, three things would happen first: any approval required by law would be obtained, this page would be rewritten to say who pays and for what, and paid material would be labelled where it appears. Until this page says otherwise, the position above stands.
