How markets settle
What has to happen on the pitch for 1X2, double chance, over/under, both teams to score and handicap bets to win, lose or be refunded.
Every market is a question about the match with a fixed set of answers. These guides go through the questions one by one and show which scorelines settle which way.
Three ideas run through all of them. Normal time, meaning ninety minutes plus stoppage time, is the usual basis for settlement. A push is a tie against the line that sends the stake back. A void bet is one with no result to settle on. A licensee's own published rules always decide the detail, and regulation 23(1) of the Conduct of Gambling Operations Regulations, 2026 requires those rules to be clearly displayed.
